The Coordinating Assembly of Non-Governmental Organisations, (CANGO) was established in 1983 primarily as a network for NGOs working in Primary Health Care in Swaziland. CANGOs overall mandate as an umbrella body is to ensure a well-functioning and coordinated civil society.
CANGO envisages a future that is characterized by a civil society which is empowered, vibrant and well-coordinated for the improvement of the quality of life for the marginalized in society. CANGO's strength is in its members, CANGO over 70 member organisations which have intervention programs in covering various thematic areas of development.
