CANGO has been awarded a grant to implement a regional project titled “The African Declaration on Internet Rights and Freedoms: Fostering a human rights-centred approach to privacy, data protection and access to the internet in Southern Africa” which is funded by the Open Society Innitiative for Southern Africa (OSISA). On 4 & 5 August 2022, CANGO hosted a 1 ½ day workshop focusing on Digital Rights (Internet as a human right, access & affordability of the internet, legal instruments, and many other topics). The workshop was well attended by various CSOs.
