United Nations Organizations (IOM, UNDP and UNFPA) as well as CANGO are implementing programmes that are funded by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands (EKN). As part of oversight responsibility, representatives of EKN and Regional Offices of the participating UN agencies (PUNOs) were on a mission in Eswatini from the 14 – 17 May 2024.
On15May 2024, READY+ Frontline AIDS, CANGO, Paediatric Adolescent Treatment Africa, REPSSI and Y+ Global successfully hosted delegates from the Embassy of the Netherlands in Mozambique for a monitoring visit at Mafutseni Nazarene Clinic. The delegates met with the READY+ national team, the Ministry of Health, Sexual Reproductive Health Unit, Clinic staff and Peer Supporters as they are frontliners in the project implementation and they highlighted key insights on the ongoing program and its impact among Young People.
CANGO is the lead in providing oversight in the project that is implemented through Nazarene Compassionate Ministry Eswatini (NCM-E) and SNYP+. The project targets AYPLHIV from 10 – 29 years and has upscaled from three regions to four regions (Hhohho, Manzini, Lubombo and Shiselweni).
READY+ II is reaching A&YPLHIV, especially those who are most vulnerable, ensuring they are resilient, empowered, and knowledgeable, have bodily autonomy and the freedom and agency to realize their SRHR. The project is implemented through the Community Adolescents Treatment Supporters (CATS), a model adopted from Zvandiri.
CANGO remains committed to improving the lives of Emaswati.
